Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation
Cooperation in the field of culture and education.
In recent years cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Belgium has noticeably intensified.
Memorandum of understanding was concluded between the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (MIAN) in March 2015.
July 26-31, 2017 in Aalst (Belgium) a presentation of dance art and culture of Uzbekistan was held in the framework of the participation of the dance group "Uzbegim Yoshlari" in the international festival of folklore dances "Pikkeling".
Every year, three French language teachers of University of World Economy and Diplomacy and Uzbek State University of Oriental Studies take part in two-week language courses in French teaching at the Catholic University of Louvain organized by the Belgian agency Wallonia-Brussels International. From July 29 to August 17, 2018 teachers of these Uzbek universities participated in courses to improve the French language at the University of Louvain la Neuve.
Belgian music bands took part in the international music festival "Sharq taronalari" took place on August 25-30, 2017 in Samarkand.
In November 9, 2017 the concert program of the winner of the “Nihol” prize Gulzoda Khudoynazarova was organized in Brussels with the Belgian non-profit foundation “Muziekpublique” and the cultural center “The World Music Concert Series“ Klangkosmos NRW ”(Germany).
Events dedicated to the celebration of the "Navruz"On March 21, 2018 in Brussels and on March 23, 2018 in Kortrijk (Belgium) and on April 7, 2018 in Amsterdam were held. A musical band from Namangan region took part in the events.
The Belgian music group "Lamekan" participated on the 1st International Forum of Maqom Art on September 6-10, 2018. in Shakhrisabz.
In September 2018 a training center of the Pikanol textile company was opened in the city of Tashkent, where experts from textile enterprises of the Republic can undergo internships and trainings.
The musical band “Sado” from the Jizzakh region took part in celebrating the 27th anniversary of Independence Day during the events held on September 25, 2018 in Brussels, Belgium and on September 28 in the city of The Hague, the Netherlands.
