The President of Uzbekistan will pay a working visit to Turkmenistan

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the invitation of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, will pay a working visit to Turkmenistan on August 4-5 to participate in the events of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.
The event, which will be held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, will be attended by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, heads of foreign states and governments, international and regional organizations.
The agenda of the conference includes urgent issues of strengthening transport connectivity and simplifying trade procedures, economic transformation, increasing resilience to climate change and environmental risks, and developing international cooperation in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals. The Avaza Political Declaration and Action Program are expected to be adopted.
As part of his visit to Turkmenistan, the Uzbek leader will also participate in an event dedicated to preparations for the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and hold a number of bilateral talks.
