Cooperation based on friendship and good-neighborliness is strengthened
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Tajikistan to attend the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of States of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met the President of Uzbekistan at Dushanbe International Airport.
Within the framework of the visit it is planned to hold a number of bilateral events in the cities of Dushanbe and Tursunzade.

On September 27, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held a meeting in Dushanbe city.
This has been reported by the Press Service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Emomali Rahmon sincerely welcomed Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The results of the state visit of the President of Tajikistan to Uzbekistan were highly appreciated. Current issues of trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian cooperation development between the two countries were discussed at the meeting.

Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Emomali Rahmon visited the Park named after Nizomiddin Alisher Navoi, in Dushanbe.
The Park is created by the Order of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan of March 5, 2018. The document provided for installation of monuments to Nuriddin Abdurahman Jami and Nizomiddin Alisher Navoi as a sign of friendship between people of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. A competition was announced for preparation of their project.
On the eve of the visit of the Head of Uzbekistan, monuments to great poets and thinkers have been erected in the park. On September 27, representatives of government and state authorities, writers and youth attended the event.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Emomali Rahmon solemnly opened the park and monuments. They laid flowers at the monuments to Alisher Navoi and Abdurahman Jami.
This event became a logical continuation of similar activities carried out in Uzbekistan. As it is known, on March 7, 2018, monuments to Alisher Navoi and Abdurahman Jami were erected in the Central Park of Samarkand. It is noteworthy that the street adjacent to this park was also named in honor of Abdurahman Jami, and the park named after Alisher Navoi is adjacent to square named after another Persian-Tajik poet Abu Abdullo Rudaki.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, accompanied by President Emomali Rahmon, visited the city of Tursunzade.
The policy of openness and cooperation carried out by the President of Uzbekistan in relations with neighboring states pleases the residents of Tursunzade along with all Tajiks. The Agreements on the State Border and on mutual trips of citizens, signed during the state visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Tajikistan in March this year, played an important role in people’s life.
Resumption of border checkpoints’ work, introduction of a visa-free regime for up to thirty days, establishment of new bus routes and flights create broad conveniences for people.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev notes that the state is needed to serve people. Today, the domestic and foreign policies of Uzbekistan, including changes in relations with neighboring countries, serve this purpose.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, accompanied by President Emomali Rahmon, visited Talco state unitary enterprise in the city of Tursunzade.
The plant, built in 1975, was transformed into Tajik Aluminum Company State Unitary Enterprise in 2007. Talco unites many enterprises of mining and chemical-metallurgical branch.
In July 2018, Krantas Group LLC of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan Aluminum Company jointly established Talco-Krantas plant of special equipment. Truck cranes, tractor-trailers, semi-trailers and other types of machinery will be produced at the joint venture.
This promising project was presented during the visit of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan Presidents.

Presidents of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan visited “Bogi Somon” farm in Tursunzade district.
Almost half of 300 thousand people of Tursunzade city are representatives of Uzbek nationality. Farms of the city are mainly engaged in viticulture. Local vineyards remind the vineyards of Besharik district of Fergana or Parkent district of Tashkent region.
The head of the farm Kamol Madumarov is a son of a farmer from Altiarik district of Uzbekistan. He followed in the footsteps of his father, earned respect as hardworking farmer. Currently, the farm has vineyards with a total area of 500 hectares. 1,100 people work here. Such grape varieties as “Husayni”, “Rizamat”, “Kattakurgon”, “Kelin barmok” and others are grown. 70-80 percent of products are exported. Currently, harvesting activities are carried out in the refrigerated warehouse of the farm with a capacity of 1.2 thousand tons.
Presidents became acquainted with the activity of this warehouse, visited the vineyards. Shavkat Mirziyoyev presented Captiva car produced in Uzbekistan to Kamol Madumarov. The President of Uzbekistan also visited “Vatan” farm of the same district and presented a Captiva to its head Nemat Usmonov.
The visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Tajikistan continues. Shavkat Mirziyoyev will attend the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of States of the Commonwealth of Independent States on September 28.
