The President of Uzbekistan departed for Brussels

At the invitation of European Council President António Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for an official visit to Brussels on October 23.
As part of his stay in the Belgian capital, the head of state will hold talks with European Union leaders. The further expansion and deepening of multifaceted relations will be discussed.
The signing of an Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Uzbekistan and the EU is expected.
Meetings are also planned with King Philippe of the Belgians, as well as representatives of leading European companies and financial institutions.
