President of Uzbekistan arrives in Slovenia on official visit

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Ljubljana on an official visit at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Slovenia Nataša Pirc Musar.

The head of our state was met at the plane's steps by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs Tanja Fajon and other officials.

The national flags of the two countries were raised and a guard of honor was lined up at the Jože Pučnik International Airport in honor of the distinguished guest.

In accordance with the program of the visit, the leader of Uzbekistan will hold talks with the President of the Republic of Slovenia Nataša Pirc Musar, meetings with the leadership of the parliament and government of the country, and will also take part in a joint business forum.

The issues of developing mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation, implementing cooperation projects in industry, pharmaceuticals, electrical engineering, "green" energy, agriculture, as well as interaction in the field of labor migration and expanding humanitarian contacts will be discussed.
