The President of Uzbekistan noted the importance of expanding practical cooperation with the European Union

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the EU Special Representative for Central Asia Eduards Stiprais.
The EU Special Representative conveyed greetings and best wishes from the President of the European Council António Costa and the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
The issues of expanding bilateral and regional cooperation in the context of the practical implementation of the decisions of the first Central Asia-EU summit, which was held in April this year in Samarkand, were discussed.
Particular attention was paid to the prompt preparation and promotion of specific investment and financial-technical cooperation projects worth 12 billion euros.
An exchange of views on the current regional agenda took place, and a schedule of upcoming events was discussed.
