The President of Uzbekistan noted the importance of further development of multifaceted cooperation with Turkey

On May 15, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the Republic of Turkey headed by Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz.
At the beginning of the meeting, the distinguished guest conveyed sincere greetings and warm wishes of the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the head of our state.
The issues of further expansion and deepening of Uzbek-Turkish relations of comprehensive strategic partnership, primarily in trade, economic and investment spheres, were discussed.
The ongoing intensive contacts and exchanges at various levels were noted with deep satisfaction. The volumes of mutual trade and investment are growing, the number of joint ventures and the frequency of flights are increasing.
The fruitful results of the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, business dialogue and exhibition held today in Tashkent were highly appreciated.
The importance of taking coordinated measures to further increase trade turnover was emphasized, including by expanding the range of goods within the framework of the Preferential Trade Agreement.
The need to promote joint projects in the areas of innovation, energy, industry, pharmaceuticals, textiles, tourism, education and others, the formation of a new portfolio of cooperation projects and a cultural and humanitarian exchange program was noted.
Particular attention was paid to preparing the agenda for the next meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.
