President of Uzbekistan and EU leaders plant trees together in Samarkand

A joint tree planting ceremony was held at the end of the Uzbek-European high-level talks.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the European Council António Costa and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen planted two oak trees together on the alley of the Congress Center in the city of Samarkand.

The tree planting became another symbol of the strengthening relations of friendship, multifaceted cooperation and partnership between Uzbekistan and the European Union.
