Looking into the future of cooperation with the European Union
On February 2 this year, a round table was held in Brussels on the theme:
Central Asia economic roundtable: looking into the future of cooperation with the European Union.
The event was organized by the EUROUZ Association together with the European Neighbourhood Council (ENC) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
The round table was a continuation of the "EU-Central Asia Investors Forum on Transport Connectivity" held in Brussels on January 29-30 this year and dedicated to strengthening transport interconnectivity.
The event was attended by the Head of the Mission of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the European Union, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Gayrat Fazilov, heads of missions of the Central Asian states to the EU, representatives of the UN, other international institutions, expert-analytical and scientific circles, as well as the media.
Prospects for cooperation between the EU and Central Asian countries were discussed.
A constructive exchange of views was held on the need for sustainable and safe development of energy and transportation links between the EU and Central Asia, and the need for comprehensive development of transport and communication infrastructure was noted.
