Institute of the National Rapporteur on combating trafficking in persons and decent work has been established in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan has established an institute of the National Rapporteur on combating human trafficking and decent labor.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree "On additional measures to counter human trafficking and wide introduction of decent labor principles".
According to the decree, the National Commission on Combating Human Trafficking and Forced Labor has been transformed into the National Commission on Combating Human Trafficking and Decent Labor.
The National Commission consists of:
Sub-Commission on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, chaired by the Minister of Interior - Vice-Chairman of the National Commission;
The Sub-Commission on Decent Labor, chaired by the Minister of Employment and Poverty Reduction - Deputy Chairman of the National Commission.
By his decree, the head of Uzbekistan has defined the main tasks of the National Commission.
The National Commission coordinates the activities of the republic's executive authorities, citizens' self-governing bodies, non-governmental non-profit and other organizations in combating human trafficking, providing comprehensive support to victims of trafficking, as well as broadly implementing the principles of decent work, international labour standards and protecting the labour rights of citizens.
The Chairman of the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the regional khokims, the city of Tashkent and the districts (cities) have been entrusted with the task of directing the territorial commissions on combating trafficking in persons and decent work.
In accordance with the Decree, the Institute of the National Rapporteur on Combating Trafficking in Persons and Forced Labor was established on the basis of the Institute of the National Rapporteur on Combating Trafficking in Persons and Decent Labor.
